Our Story

Commercial Service Company was born from a story of resilience, purpose, and unwavering dedication. Our roots trace back to my mother’s incredible journey—a journey that began when she immigrated to the United States from West Africa at just 19 years old, seeking safety from civil war and a chance at a better life.

Amid the challenges of rebuilding in a new country, she discovered her passion for helping others. Inspired by the devastation she had witnessed back home, she chose a career in nursing—one that would shape not only her future, but also the values our company stands on today.

While working multiple full-time jobs to support herself through nursing school, she took on small cleaning jobs to make ends meet. What started as a side gig quickly became essential when she became a mother. There were moments when those cleaning jobs were the only source of income supporting our family. Even after she earned her nursing degree and began her long-standing career at Park Nicollet—where she has now served for more than 20 years—the cleaning work continued in the background, managed with the same commitment and care she applied to everything in her life.

Growing up in that environment—one built on hard work, sacrifice, and consistency—instilled in me the importance of delivering dependable, quality service. After college, I chose to take over the small cleaning business she began decades earlier. My focus became elevating the company through refined systems, a strong team culture, and a professional standard that customers could trust.

Today, Commercial Service Company stands as a reflection of my mother’s legacy—a company rooted in integrity, reliability, and pride in the work we do.

What started as her way to support our family has grown into a multi-generational business committed to delivering exceptional cleaning solutions and creating spaces that look, feel, and function at their best.
